Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Chuo University, Tokyo. My research interests include climatology, hydrology, and isotope geochemistry.

Research interests

Isotope-enabled climate modeling. I develop and evaluate MIROC6-iso, the isotope-enabled version of the fully coupled climate model MIROC6, and use stable water isotopes to study climate variability such as ENSO. I also contribute to the Water Isotope Model Intercomparison Project (WisoMIP).

Land and river isotope processes. I develop ILS-iso, the isotope-enabled version of the Integrated Land Simulator (ILS), toward the coupled model MIROC6-ILS-iso.

Constraining future climate projections. I work on emergent constraint methods to reduce uncertainty in regional climate projections.
